BRIDGWATER NEWS: Murder investigation launched

POLICE have launched a murder investigation following an incident at an address in George Street in Bridgwater.

A man was discovered with serious injuries at about 12.30pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018, and was treated by paramedics including from air ambulance but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Formal identification is yet to take place. One man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.

“Dampiet House and the adjoining car park are both closed while we carry out our enquiries.

“There will be a scene guard in place while we continue our investigation. Anyone with any information should call 101 and ask to speak to Brunel MCIT investigations.”
