SCHOOL NEWS: Fantastic GCSE results at Chilton Trinity
CHILTON Trinity School in Bridgwater was celebrating on Thursday (August 23, 2018) a successful set of GCSE results with real improvements seen across the board and some stunning individual successes.
Despite huge changes nationally to assessment processes and gradings, making it harder achieve top grades, a record number of students achieved a clean sweep of exceptional grades including those recorded by Chris Bown, Jess Brind, Dan Gregory, Maisie Higgins, Nadine Nkala, Flo Scobie, Martyna Wisniewska and Hannah Wood.
The school recorded significant improvements in English & Maths with Flo Scobie gaining the top grade possible (9) in both subjects.
Strong performances were also evident in Art, Music, Sport, Geography, History, Spanish and Graphics.
A number of students achieved results that indicate they have made exceptional progress across all their subjects. These included Dan Bayliss, Amber Beacham, Charis Cheung, Sara Garrido, Jasmine Granter, Chantel Marsh, Jacob Searle, Amber Spear and Koran West.
Mention should also be made of Joe Rainey who despite huge personal tragedy just days before the exams achieved a set of results that the school is hugely proud of.
Outgoing headteacher, Lesley Greenway, would like to thank staff, students and parents/carers for the huge support given to this year 11 cohort.
“We are all confident that each and every one of these students now has the academic outcomes and personal skills and qualities necessary to be successful in the next exciting phase of their lives,” she said.
