BRIDGWATER NEWS: Council chairman backs charitable group

THE chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, Cllr Mike Cresswell, donated £650 to a charity after his fundraising activities over the past year.

Helen and Amber Spear received a cheque from Cllr Cresswell for £650 at Sedgemoor’s recent full council meeting.

They represent Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Support UK for those who suffer from this rare genetically inherited neuromuscular condition which affects all types of body movement.

The charity supports a small support team including outreach services, peer support, specialist equipment, toy packs, research and activities.
