BRIDGWATER NEWS: Red Berry Recruitment bounces its way to beat £500 Sport Relief target
A BRIDGWATER firm was bouncing for joy – literally – when team members raised money for Sport Relief by showing off their bouncing skills on space hoppers.
Red Berry Recruitment was thrilled to raise £565 for Sport Relief on Friday (March 23, 2018) when managing director Helen Lacey and members of staff bounced their way through the town centre collecting donations.
As well as bouncing through the town centre the team also held races with members of the public and local businesses outside the Red Berry office in Angel Place Bridgwater.
The team was thrilled to be joined by Tom Banton and Fin Trenouth of Somerset County Cricket Club who came to lend their support and take on the Berries in a series of races.
Helen Lacey, owner and MD of Red Berry, said: “What a day! Thank you to everyone who sponsored us and joined in with our Bounce with the Berries activities.
“I am thrilled that we raised over £500 for a great cause – everyone was so generous on the day!”
Sam Pardey, Red Berry’s social media executive and holder of the fastest time over the space hopper course, said: “It was brilliant to raise so much money from such a simple idea.
“It was great to have Tom and Fin from Somerset Cricket Club come and join in too – it gave me to brilliant competition. I was really pleased to beat them though!”
It is not too late to donate to the cause and any last donations can be made by visiting Red Berry’s JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/red-berry-recruitment-ltd5 .
Red Berry Recruitment is committed to supporting charities and the team love to do their bit to help raise funds.
The 10 Year Party in May 2017 raised over £5000 for charity and in the 10 years that Red Berry has been in business they have raised an impressive £15,000 for local and national charities.
