TICKETS are becoming scarce for the Bridgwater Operatic Spring production of My Fair Lady which takes place in less than six weeks’ time.
My Fair Lady, one of the world’s greatest musicals, comes to the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater from May 1-5, 2018, and brought to you by multi award-winning Bridgwater Operatic Society.
Director James Tucker commented that that the cast was one of the most talented he had worked with and he was sure that the show would rival the very best award winning productions that the society had presented over the years.
The winner of six Tony Awards including best musical, My Fair Lady sparkles with wit, elegance and romance and tells the story of an Edwardian cockney flower girl’s transformation into the pride of London society.
Bridgwater Operatic Society’s superb new production will transport you from the streets where you live to the flower markets of Covent Garden; to the racecourse at Ascot and the glittering heights of an Embassy ball.
With a wonderful score and book by Lerner and Lowe, based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, the show is packed with all-time classics such as Wouldn’t it be Loverly?, With a Little Bit of Luck, I Could Have Danced All Night and On The Street Where You Live, and many, many more.
This lively colourful production, brought to you by the current holders of the Rose Bowl award for best musical, Bridgwater Operatic Society, will captivate and enthral audiences of all ages.
