SCHOOL NEWS: Robert Blake students sample university life at Cardiff

BRILLIANT Bridgwater students have been inspired by a visit to a top university - the latest in a long line of aspirational trips.

The 50 students from Year Ten at the Robert Blake Science College visited Cardiff Metropolitan University to get a flavour of what university is like.

Just last month student Klaudia Redwelska, aged 15, had her First Class Degree Standard article on Marine Biology published in a national magazine.

Now, 50 of her fellow students have sat in lecture theatres, been inspired by the range of courses on offer, met undergraduate students, and taken part in a question and answer session with students and lecturers.

Robert Blake Science College headteacher Deb Loveridge said: “This was a remarkable trip and the students enjoyed every minute of it. We are eager to give all our students the chance to see all the tremendous opportunities open to them.”
