SOMERSET NEWS: Bad crash on M5 leaves one person dead and ten people injured
ONE person died and ten others were injured in a crash on the M5 in Somerset on Friday (February 9, 2018) morning.
Emergency services reported that several vehicles were involved in the incident which happened just before 6.20am.
The motorway has been closed between Junction 25 for Taunton and Junction 26 for Wellington with diversions in place.
A police spokesman said it expected that section of the M5 to be closed to traffic for a “significant amount of time.”
Highways England and the police have advised people to consider delaying journeys if possible until the motorway has re-opened.
