SEDGEMOOR NEWS: Devastated family make moving tribute in memory of murder victim
THE family of murdered Laura Biss – who was tragically killed in the early hours of Saturday (January 20, 2018) – have released a tribute in her memory.
Laura, aged 34, died after being the victim of an apparent hit-and-run incident in Burnham Road, Highbridge.
Her family said: “Laura was a beautiful daughter, a fantastic mother and a great sister.
“She was sensitive, caring and compassionate and would think nothing of going out of her way to help others.
“She had a great sense of humour which made her very popular. She touched so many people’s lives in a positive way.”
The tribute added: “She was a talented artist, who had a great future ahead of her. Words cannot express what her loss means to all her family and friends – we are heartbroken and totally devastated.
"We would like the media to leave us alone at this time to grieve privately.”
Christopher Harris, of no fixed address, who was charged with the murder of Laura, as well as causing death by dangerous driving, appeared at Taunton Deane Magistrates on Tuesday (January 23, 2018) where he was remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday (January 25, 2018).
