SCHOOL NEWS: On the ball student is the man in the middle
A BRIDGWATER teenager is a brilliant student by day but a football referee at the weekends.
Chris Bown, aged 16, spends his weekends refereeing the football matches for junior players in the Somerset FA after qualifying a year ago.
But while football refereeing is his hobby, he wants to go into making films when he is older.
The talented teenager, who attends Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater, plans to study film-making alongside maths and psychology at Strode College.
He has just finished the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and is now planning to cycle from John O’ Groats to Land’s End.
Chilton Trinity headteacher Lesley Greenway said: “Chris is a brilliant student and we are delighted at his progress and ambitions.”
