SCHOOL NEWS: Robert Blake students know how to mind their language

BRIDGWATER students have starred across the UK with award-winning language skills.

Students at Robert Blake Science College won an incredibly competitive Language Perfect championship - competing with tens of thousands of students across Britain.

Year Eight student Liam Lovell-Gibbs, 13, carried off a Gold Medal - one of only a small percentage of students in Britain to do so.

To win the prize students have to learn and answer questions on Spanish, German, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, Italian and other languages and score points for each question.

Robert Blake aims to aspire, achieve and celebrate with every student in the school and to bring learning alive.

Headteacher Deb Loveridge said: “Languages are really important and we are very proud of all our competitors and award winning students.”
