SCHOOL NEWS: Christmas cheer for care home residents
COMMUNITY-MINDED Bridgwater students have brought Christmas cheer to care home residents with a blast of festive carols and songs.
Students from all year groups at Chilton Trinity School visited the Casa Di Lusso care home in Bridgwater to sing seasonal favourites such as including Last Christmas, Jingle Bells, Oh Holy Night and Oh Little Town of Bethlehem.
Big hearted Year 11 students Amber Spear, Chantelle Lake and Kaci Smith organised the event.
Year 11 student Tia Chedzoy, Year 10 student Kizzy Mcguire, and Year Eight students Katie Holman, Brooke Bonney, Chloe Byles and Herica Andrade went on the trip. Danielle Smith, Laura Bell and Kaitlin Oleksiyevets, from Year Seven, also sang the carols.
Chilton Trinity students have also helped provide hampers for people in need across Bridgwater in readiness for Christmas.
Headteacher Lesley Greenway said: “It was an amazing morning and such an experience for all the students.”
Amber said: “It was such a great experience for the younger and older generations to mix together over Christmas songs.”
