CARNIVAL 2017: Fine array of pre-Carnival entertainment

PEOPLE are being treated to a whole day of entertainment on Saturday (November 4, 2017) – long before the first of the carts have set off on the procession of Bridgwater Carnival.

The actual Carnival itself is scheduled to begin at 7pm, but organisers have lined-up an amazing array of talent to entertain the ever-growing crowds throughout the day.

Thousands of people will be descending on the town during the day and they will not be disappointed.

There will be live music, entertainers and acts at The Cornhill, High Street, St Mary’s Church, Angel Place Shopping Centre, and elsewhere around the town centre.

Take a look at the list below to see what you could be watching ahead of the glittering Bridgwater Carnival.

The entertainment begins at the Angel Place Shopping Centre on Saturday (November 4, 2017) at 10am with a performance by the Bridgwater-based and super-talented ACTS Choir.

Another highlight of the pre-Carnival entertainment will be the annual Children’s Dance Parade in the town centre at 2.15pm followed by a Children’s Lantern Parade at 3.35pm.

Singer Stevi Richie, a contestant in the 2014 series of The X Factor, will be performing with 2015 Britain’s Got Talent contestant Paul Manners at 12.05pm on the Cornhill stage.
