BRIDGWATER NEWS: Old court building to be sold at auction
THE former magistrates’ court building in Bridgwater will go under the hammer later this month at auction in Bristol.
The empty building in Northgate has been described online as a 13-bedroom detached house with a guide price of £395,000.
It will be sold at a Hollis Morgan public auction on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at All Saints Church in Clifton, Bristol, with the sale beginning promptly at 7pm.
Planning has been granted to convert the property into a mixed use scheme of ten flats and office space with a development value of £1.95m.
The magistrates’ court in Bridgwater held its final sitting around five years ago after nearly a century of use.
