FOOTBALL: Five-star Bridgwater Town savour FA Cup win

BRIDGWATER Town enjoyed a cracking 5-2 success over Keynsham Town on Saturday (August 5, 2017) to move through to the next round of the FA Cup.

Goals from Syd Camper, Jake Llewellyn, Matt Connick, player-manager Dave Pearse and Mike Duffy saw Bridgwater safely through to the next round of the competition.

A crowd of 211 was at the game which was Bridgwater’s first of the new 2017-18 season in which they will be looking to come back all guns blazing following the disappointment of relegation last term from the Southern League into the Premier Division of the Toolstation Western League.

Following Bridgwater’s success in the Extra Preliminary Round Qualifier in the world’ most glamorous club knockout cup competition, they will now face Brislington at Fairfax Park in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in a 3pm kick-off.
