LEISURE: Gigathon singer Jordan Hill is top of the pops for hospice
THE late grandmothers of gigathon maestro Jordan Hill would have been proud as punch as he sung his way around Bridgwater on Saturday (July 22, 2017) to raise funds for St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
Jordan sung his heart out in memory of his grans, Susan and Marilynn, who both died from cancer.
The singer played at 20 venues around the town over a 14-hour period to raise money and thank St Margaret’s Hospice which provided fantastic support to the family as both Susan and Marilynn were in their care for most of their treatment.
And there is no doubt that both Susan and Marilynn, who both loved listening to their grandson sing, would have been partying with the rest of them on Saturday as Jordan hit the right notes with people wherever he performed.
He was accompanied during the day by a glamorous entourage of supporters who collected money while some music-lovers followed him on his gigathon tour.
The fun started at 10am on Saturday at the Angel Place Shopping Centre and went all the way through to very late with the last gig at Reflections.
The tour featured Angel Place Shopping Centre, Commercial Inn, Bridgwater Railway Club, The Crown Inn, New Foresters, Lime Kiln, Bunch of Grapes, The Cobblestones, Fountain Inn, Lions Club, British Flag, Admirals Landing, Great Escape, Bar 27, The Cornhill, Golden Ball, Vinos Ale and Wine Taverns, The Duke, The Old Market and Reflections.
Jordan would like to thank everyone who supported him during the day and donated to St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
