LEISURE: Hitting the right note for St Margaret’s in gigathon

SINGER Jordan Hill is resting his vocal chords in readiness for a marathon gigathon in which he will be hoping to hit the right note with people in Bridgwater this weekend.

Jordan will be taking part in a gigathon on Saturday (July 22, 2017) by playing at 20 venues around the town over at 14-hour period.

Last year the Bridgwater lad suffered family heartbreak when two of his grandmothers, Susan and Marilynn, died from cancer.

St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice proved fantastic support to the family as both Susan and Marilynn were in their care for most of their treatment.

Susan and Marilynn both loved listening to their grandson sing and they are the main reason behind Jordan’s gigathon on Saturday as he looks to raise as much money as possible for St Margaret’s Hospice.

He will be accompanied during the day by a glamorous entourage of supporters who will collect money.

Jordan said: “I thought this would be a great way of raising money and awareness for St Margaret’s Hospice, but above all, it’s going to be great fun.

Twenty different venues have been selected for the gigathon and the planned itinerary is published below where he will be playing a 20/30-minute set at each before moving onto the next.

“We are hoping to pick-up people along the way and end up with a big show at the end,” said Jordan.

The fun is due to start at 10am on Saturday at the Angel Place Shopping Centre and go all the way through to very late with the last gig starting at Reflections at 11.45pm.

The itinerary of where Jordan will be playing and approximate times are as follows:
