LEISURE: Sedgemoor Vintage Show is a modern day success
THE annual Sedgemoor Vintage Show continues to go from strength to strength with exhibits increasing again this year.
The show was held earlier this month on Saturday, July 8, 2017, and Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Pawlett Road in West Huntspill.
Visitors spent hours in the warm sunshine wandering around the showground enjoying a trip down memory lane talking to the exhibitors – many of them travelling from as far away as Kent, Newport, Exmouth and Aberdare.
Full size and miniature steam traction engines were on display along with nearly 100 stationary engines stretching as far as the eye could see, while owners had polished up more than 50 cars that were carefully driven around the arena.
Motorcyclists were not forgotten with more than 35 bikes also on display.
Military, commercial and emergency vehicles were also in attendance – everything you could wish for at a very successful vintage show.
“Credit goes to everyone responsible for putting on such a great show – well done all,” said one happy visitor.
Photographers Brian Bateman and Les Pickersgill went along to take photos at the show.
